Hi,
I was wondering if any one was familiar with, or knew various types of wildlife that is on display at Walt Disney World. For the most part at Animal Kingdom they do a very good job of labeling the animals that we are seeing, but the The Seas with Nemo and Friends is greatly lacking. One tank for example is labeled frogfish, but there are several species of frogfish. The same goes for lionfish.
I understand Seas is themed mostly for kids and all, but I would think the adults would like to know exactly what it is they are looking at. I understand too in coral reef tanks their are tons of stuff in there and you can't label all of them, but one tank completely devoted to cuttlefish is simply labeled cuttlefish and nothing else? There are several species of cuttlefish and was wondering if anyone knew anything about the various species and such at The Seas or knew someone who knew. Frogfish and cuttlefish are very difficult to ID for amateurs as they can change colors, but the aquarium themselves should know. Thanks in advance for any help.
I did by the way find a really cool site that lists as best it can all the animals in zoos worldwide. It's for breeding purposes that they have to document it and all that. It's interesting though to see just how many Hippos, elephants, komodos, lions, etc. Disney has.

If you pick the animal and scroll down anything labeled DISNEY AK or EPCOT is in reference to Disney World.
