Animal Kingdom Souveigner Cup Refill Question

A while back, I think February, we were at AK and bought a souveigner cup. The one that is green with the plastic animal or dinosaur topper. My question is this, we are going to AK tomorrow and if I bring my cup back can I get the same refill deal or did they change the cups?

On your cup you will see the words:

Free unlimited refills from our beverage islands during the stay in which the mug was purchased

So....no

Many people will come along to say that no one checks, which is true.

But the fact remains that you are not supposed to bring your cup back.

I leave it to your conscience now.

They are not refering to the refillable mugs at the resort.

The AK has a large plastic green cup with an animal topper - refills are $1 (with tax) and yes you can bring back the cup and pay for more refills.

(We bought the gorilla one - an interesting note, the dinosaur topper is only available in and around the dinosaur portion of the park).

Meatloaf you are correct! We have the tiger cup. The cup cost around $7 or $8 if I remember and I only refilled it once while I was there but kept the cup.

Sweet, thanks for your help.

P.S. I would have tried it even if there was a limited time

How long ago was that Barnum42?
About two years ago.

I've never thought to get one since, as I now use the dining coupon you can buy at Animal Kingdom restaurants. It includes a drink with your main meal and a bottled drink you can pick up later in the day.

I honestly don't know about the AK cups. Maybe someone else can say if they have used them on other days?

Hey folks,

I was there yesterday, they still have the refill cups. I had my old style cup (the changed the cup, but not the toppers) 6 times for $1 each. Didnt even question it. Keep in mind that these are the green cups with the large animal rubber/plastic topper that the straw goes through. Not the mugs or cups you get at resorts.

On another side, it looked like they were filming a commercial at the Everst site. Lots of lighting rigs and only cast members were able to go back there. They had the walk way between Asia and Tarzan rocks closed off.

i would say that its worth it, because just think of how many drinks people buy each day at the parks and if you buy a souvineer cup its a $1 each refil. im gonna do that, thanks for the info!
