Hey everyone!! How are you? I've been wondering, I have heard and read about the main secret path in DAK that leads near the Tree of Life, and think I can find it. I thought I read somewhere on here that there are other paths. I've done some searching, and have only turned up the Tree of Life path. Does anyone know of any others??

The Tree of Life path is not really hidden. The path is on the map, and is paved. The hidden path was between Asia and Africa. However that has since been overgrown.sittle said:

The trees have been grown in blocking the entrance. Also one part of the path had you cross a stream using stepping stones. The water level has now been raised above the stones. It seems to me that they are trying to make the path off limits. To my knowledge it was the parks only "secret" path. However the park is full of paths that few people wonder around.sittle said:

I know that both of my pal mickeys(new and old) mention something about a secret path everytime I exit Africa heading back toward the tree of life. I can never seem to find it, but if you guys know where Im talking about, I think its near camp minnie mickey side to get to Africa.
I also heard that this "secret" path didnt really look like a path, but more of a "cast member" only area, if thats true, I almost wondered into this area that looked like a cast member only. Im confused.

Yeah, I know the one major Tree of Life path is supposed to look rough and very 'natural', could it be that the trees are there to further disguise the path, maybe the water levels have risen, is that in attempt to ward off the more timid adventurers??
Has anybody lately taken the secret Tree of Life path?? Within the past few months?? Anybody make it??
I'm going in late January and I'm going to attempt it regardless!! I can do it!!

There really isnt any secret Tree of Life path. As I said there are a few paths around the tree that few people travel, but they are in no way hidden. All are on the map, anf all contain signage and animal habitats. The only real hidden path at AK was the one located between Asia and Africa that I talked about earlier. The path did look more like a cast only path rather than for guests. Disney controls the water levels and the fact that they have risen above the stones and the trees have been allowed to grow in shows that they don't want guests using the path anymore.sittle said:

With a running start you might be able to jump over the stream. And the last time I was at the passage was about a year ago. It was rather funny because I passed 2 cast members that were going backwards through the trail and they didn't say anything to me.

We found it years ago. And this was when they just started to let it get "over grown".
Last year when we walked by it, they had trash cans and planter where the entrance was. Sure looks like they don't want anyone back there anymore.

the path by the tree of life that you may be thinking of, as said really isn't 'hidden' its just that few people walk through it. it's a really cool path though, goes right next to the tree where some more of the animal carvings are visible.
anyways, i forget where one end of the path is, but i know that the other end is on the right side of the it's tough to be a bug fastpass distrobution area. So... facing it... go the most right you can while still under the fastpass area. It looks like a line for the ride almost, or a CM area.
