Animal kingdom resturant

Which is the animal kingdom lodge restaurant that I can eat and watch the animals? Am thinking of having a quiet day on Saturday 7th may (we are at POFQ for 14 nights) and thought lunch there to see the animals would be great. I don't want to go in the evening because it will be dark. Or do they do breakfast there?

Sanaa would be the only option to see animals, but don't expect to see too much. The last few times we were there we had some Crowned Cranes near the windows. You would want to ask for a seat near a window. We have found having a early reservation for 5:00 when the restaurant opens that we could get a window seat. Later times you had to be really lucky.

Also wanted to add in that there's no breakfast here.. Just lunch and dinner. Although you can do Boma, an all you can eat buffet, which doesn't have a view of the animals like Sanna does but they have great food and then you can spend the morning exploring around the resort and seeing all the animals. You can go outside and have a better look, no matter where you dine you will probably end up doing this anyway. You can seriously use an entire day exploring around AKL if you wanted to :)

Love a little Disney every day!! ;)
Lunch @ Sanaa is awesome if you want to see the animals as well. If your going during the summer you would see them the first several hours of dinner as well. :)

I'd do Saana and then just make time to look around while you're there if you don't see as much as you'd like. We've had better luck seeing animals from the Jambo House side of the resort but there's no place really to eat and see at the same time there. The resort is gorgeous and worth the time imo.

As a local who visits and dines at WDW frequently, eating at the Animal Kingdom Lodge is one of my favorite experiences.

While Sanaa is my favorite non-signature restaurant on property, I wouldn't count on being able to see animals while you eat as not all tables are along the windows. And though the windows are large, tables in the middle and farthest away won't offer much of a view (especially if the tables between you and the windows are occupied). I would still highly recommend Sanaa for the food, but I wouldn't go there just for the sake of being able to see animals during the meal.

My suggestion is to pick whichever restaurant sounds best for you and then take the time before or after dinner (or both) to enjoy the hotel lobby, visit the open savannas to watch the animals, enjoy the rocking chairs on the balcony off the Jambo House lobby, looking around the resort and have a wonderful, relaxing time in addition to wherever you choose to eat at.
