We are going in May and the new nighttime Safari and ROL will be going on and my question is....how long will AK stay open for it to be dark enough?

It doesn't get dark till about 8 up here in New York that time of year and it seems that Florida is 30-60 minutes past that time.

The current hours listing obviously doesn't reflect what it's going to be in case there an opening delay but was just curious.

I believe after RoL opens it will stay open later. At the moment it gets dark 6 to 6:30, but that is with Daylight Savings, so I'm not sure.

It'll be around 8:00 when it starts to get dark in FL around May. I'd imagine the park will be open until at least 10, if not later. During the summer months is when the parks stay open until midnight or later with EMH.

Park hours are still listed as closing at 5pm. They're probably being conservative and will revise the hours as it gets closer. I'm looking at going Memorial Day week. Also, with Daylight Savings Time and the days gradually getting longer until June 21, I think you're looking at between 8:00-8:30 before it gets dark. With residual sun on the horizon between 8:30-9:00.

I imagine it will be similar to DHS. So probably closing at 8ish most nights, with longer hours in the summer. Some nights at DHS there is a Fantasmic showing after park close and they may do the same at DAK on quieter days.
