Animal Kingdom Lodge Views?

Dear all,

We will be leaving in just 28 days for AKL!! We are staying for a week and have a savannah view reserved. My father has bunyuns and he does get them taken care of, but I am concerned about his walking too much. We can rent an ECV in the parks if we need to, but I have also heard that the Animal Kingdom Lodge is huge. Is it reasonable to request a room that would be convenient to the pool, restaurants, bus, etc.? How would I do this?

Just call the hotel and ask. They are usually pretty accommodating if the rooms are available.

Thanks! ( I can't call you Fat Boy!) My travel agent, Karen, from Your Magical Journeys, (Who are absolutely wonderful!), has put in a request for me and will fax the Animal Kingdom Lodge a few days before we arrive! 23 days and counting!!

tarajean1962, we just got back yesterday from our trip and we stayed at AKL. We did not want to leave! This was our first stay on property, and it was an incredible experience. We had reserved a standard room but the CM at registration must have been impressed by the gleam in our eyes, she gave us a complimentary upgrade to a savannah view. That alone was worth the trip! I would be glad to scan an image of the map of AKL and e-mail it to you. If you would like the e-mail image, let me know the maximize size file your ISP will accept.
