Hi all, have just booked 2 rooms for August 2019 here and wondered what exactly it will get me and how different it will be to normal rooms and so on. We have never stayed in Animal Kingdom Lodge before, but have stayed in a few different places at Disney and have always wanted to stay here. For lots of reasons it will be very bitter sweet next year staying here, but am determined to get there and have as good a time as possible. Any hints, tips or info would be great and I would be very grateful! Thanks in advance

I have stayed club level here twice. The rooms themselves should not be any different then if you has just booked the savanna view. You will look out on your balcony onto giraffe and Zebra etc. be sure to spend some time in the hotel in the evening before sunset to enjoy the animals. The Club is on Level 5 your rooms will likely not be. they offer a great variety of beverages a number like Mr. Pibb you don't see in other clubs. also the food is cool as they get it from one of the Restaurants on property. It is a neat resort and nice and dark at night. travel too and from can take extra time but worth it once for the experience. This is extra but since you ae staying there see if you can get onto the night safari around the resort you use night vision and it is a really cool experience

You have your own concierage, and a location for snacks and drinks through out the day. Those snacks are fairly robust, so much so, you can use them as meals. Other then those things there's really no difference.

I believe Disney is still offering CL guests the opportunity to purchase an additional fastpass 'package'... meaning it has to be booked for all occupants of the room for all nights of the stay, minimum of 3 nights purchased. Last I heard (Jan '18) It's $50 per person/night, must be booked for all nights of stay. In exchange you get 3 fastpasses per day per person. From my understanding, these passes may be booked for Tier 1 attractions, and may be booked in any park.

Not quite.

The package can be booked for anyone on the reservation, but need not be for all.

The club level stay must be a minimum of 3 nights, and the minimum no. of days you must purchase it for is 3 days. The days don't need to be consecutive, but must fall within your club level stay, including check-out day. You do not need to purchase it for all CL days.

The extra CL FPs can be for any park, any tier. They book these for you from 90 days out from check-out date, and will book your ordinary FPs for those days too at that time. The two types of FPs cannot overlap the usual hour window, and cannot duplicate each other (although you can later modify the "normal" FPs to duplicate the CL FPs -at your own risk, they have sometimes been swapped back)!

You cannot modify the CL FPs yourself.

You also get to book one nighttime show per day of CL FPs, with special viewing. HEA, ROL, Illuminations and Fantasmic are included.
