Spend time enjoying the animal views! There is a ground level viewing area by the pool. There are CMs there to talk about the animals. Not many people check this out. If you have kids, they have free cookie decorating around noon or 1 o'clock. It's usually in Boma, but on our last stay there we did it in Jiko. There are usually CMs in the lobby daily teaching about the animals as well. At night, you can use night vision goggles to see the animals too. There are other children's activities daily. Just ask when you check in. Do you have a savanna view room? If so, take time to enjoy the balcony. It's fun to see what animals are visible throughout the day. It's the first thing we do in the morning and when we get back to the resort. It's always the last think we look for at night! AKL has excellent resort bars. It's a very short walk to Kidani. Take the short walk or the shuttle to check it out. Enjoy your stay.

Do the new night time safari. It is 75 bucks a person but was over an hour driving through the savanna with night vision goggles. There is also a dinner/wine pairing version but at 190 per person is priced high.

I have a trip booked to Jambo house in a couple months as well. This will be my 4th stay at AKL and third at Jambo. I actually prefer Jambo to Kidani, I am not sure if this is an unpopular opinion. I definitely recommend making reservations for Boma breakfast for at least one morning.

If you enjoy lounging by the pools, I would make sure to go to the Kidani pool area one day. (its a quick walk).

Besides for that, I don't really have any suggestions. Just enjoy the theme and ambiance, one of the best IMO.

IMHO the best way to enjoy the resort is to treat it as a resort and forget that the parks are there. Have a short stay there and do nothing but AKL stuff, then stay somewhere cheaper to do the parks.

Do a through walkthrough of Jambo house. Down every corridor that you have access to. Admire all the artwork & artifacts. Go to every external staircase and admire a different vantage point on the animals. Kidani doesn't have a much stuff to see, but can be checked out as well.

Jiko & Boma are both mandatory eating. Sanaa very good as well (that one is open for lunch).

And don't miss the 'Cultural Safari' at the Sunset Lounge at Jambo House (I think Kidani has one as well). 7:30pm. A CM from Africa (half the time from South Africa, otherwise an other southern African nation like Zimbabwe, Botswana, or Namimbia) talks either about 'the big 5' (animals) or their home country.

We have no kids. So I guess no cookie decorating for us. Lol. Is the night vision goggles at the lobby too? We are not sure what view we have yet, but we will definitely be hanging out at the balconies. Thank you!

That sounds like an experience but were not at the point to shell up extra cash for experiences yet. Lol. Maybe one day if we need an extra kick to keep away from the same old thing. Thanks!

Get a activity guide at check in to verify where they are doing the night vision goggles. Last few times we stayed there they did it at around 9p at the lookout to the left of the lobby.
