DAK is now closed to ALL day guests, with the exception of WDW Resort Guests.

MK, MGM parking lot is also closed and all day guests MUST park at Epcot.

FYI, MK was the only park to close yesterday (12/27) and the reports of 80,000 to 90,000 ARE UNTRUE. At no time did MK attendence ever reach more the 60,000 IN PARK, although the TOTAL for the day was in the mid to high 70,000 range.

I will be in the park (MK) today 12-28, as a guest, and will report MK wait times in a seperate thread tonight

Hopes this clears up some common misconceptions about MK attendence.

Wow, AK full. Has this ever happened before? I know AK always feels more crowded than it is because of the vegetation and narrow pathways. Is AK's threshold lower than the other parks'?

If you had to park at Epcot to go to MK and MGM, why the hell would you even bother? You're not gonna get on anything... Also, how bad is Epcot?

You're right. At that point, enjoy what the hotel has to offer. When I was there on July 4th, the MK was closed by 10:30AM. We didn't even bother with another park, we headed for the Marketplace. It was a nice relaxing day!

Its threshold is lower (about 40-50% less then MK's) and has happened during holiday periods before.

Epcots threshold is SLIGHTLY HIGHER then MK's as evedent NYE 2003/2004 when Epcot set the WDW record for single day IN PARK attendence and TOTAL day attendence.

MGM is LOWER then MK, but higher then DAK.

EXACT NUMBERS ARE VERY CONFIDENCIAL, so I am sorry I can't quote the real numbers.

I'm not so worried about getting on the attractions, but rather just getting into the park. I would assume it fills up later in the day since it would be a long, long time to keep kids in the park if you got there at 9am

From what I heard the crowd came to see the new stroller parking where the skyway use to be. ;)

Yet another great day for Disney.

I was at DAK on Monday... We arrived around 11:30 and it was slammed! I don't think it closed, but was it hard to navigate around!

Just FYI... we were able to get a FP for PWhirl. We had to come back an hour later to ride at 12:30.

River ride wait was 20 minutes, PWhirl was 30, Dino was 40. No word on Safari becasue we didn't even try to go to that side of the park.

We went to Asia and walked around the exhibit. It wasn't that bad, but rude guests did come into play when they saw the animals and interactive things. Some people just think they should get a free pass to the front of everything!

The midways were very congested and hectic. Just about all the CM's were in a very helpful mood and tried to help those in the park who had no clue.

It was the first day the sun was out during the holiday, so many people were ready to get out! I was glad to come home... The stay was great, but with that many people there, it was time to crank up the car and hit the interstate!

Yes, but as many as about 90,000 can tour the MK on a single day (not nessicarily at the same time)alone (meaning the park would have to be full almost all day...rare but it can happen). Sorry for the confusion- and thanks for keepng us updated!

It usually happens at this time of year.
