When the AK expansion is finished, has Disney announced how late will DAK stay open when the nighttime entertainment is in place.
No nothing of that sorts with information yet as it's still long away. The show will be finished Mid 2016 and Avatarland will not be finished until 2017. Both of those new additions will contribute to be open later as of course the show is a nighttime show and Avatarland looks really neat and can be explored at night. I'm guessing only a few hours later than now but who knows. lolWhen the AK expansion is finished, has Disney announced how late will DAK stay open when the nighttime entertainment is in place.
They used to have evening extra magic hours at DAK and it was really cool. It took on a different feel when it started to get dark. I think it would be a cool way to spend a New Years Eve.I'm really interested to see how Animal Kingdom will look at night. I can just imagine the pathways and subtle music playing in the background. It will have a very relaxing yet mysterious feel, I believe. Very excited!

Yes, we did the evening extra magic hours back in 2005. I really don't know why they stopped doing them for the evening. It will be my number one park when everything us up and running. I could see it overtaking EPCOT as the adult park.I swear I was at Animal Kingdom when it was dark when I first visited way back in August 2005. Had to line up and get an extra magic hours band but it was awesome to be in the park at dusk and dark. Honestly cannot wait to spend a FULL Disney day at Animal Kingdom.

I've never seen it at night, though a good friend once got to be inside Chester and Hester's for a private after-hours event during a software conference and said it was pretty rad.
This video should give you some idea of what the current lighting hardware looks like:
