Animal Kingdom Entertainment Question (Victor Espinola / Discovery Island)

Hey Guys.

Just got back from my trip and one of the things that caught my ear walking through Animal Kingdom was Victor Espinola’s performance on Discovery Island. It was so impressive I had to stop and do a double take (I recorded this on my phone in the process):



So my question... what song was he playing in that video? It sounds so damn familiar... is it a cover or original song? Also, if it is original, is it victor’s (on one of his albums) or is it a proprietary tune owned by Disney Parks for live entertainment?

At the time, Siri didn’t recognize the song (not suprising, as it was a live recording), and I looked on both Apple Music and Spotify but could not find it or the others he was playing live at the time.

Is there some kind of playlist for the songs he plays there live?

Really impressed with the guy and want to hear more of his music (also thought I read somewhere he has a new album coming out?).

This is going to drive me nuts as the song sounds familiar to me as well. If I am not mistaken, this guy played with Yanni for at least one tour so it might be something from that tour.

Victor often does a cover of the Robert Miles piece "Children" but I do not think that is what he is playing in your video.

So i'm not going crazy! The beginning of the song is what sounds familiar to me. It's driving me nuts.

Having the same issue! We just recently got home from our trip and no doubt the highlight was hearing Victor. This was the one song that we couldn’t get out of our heads but unfortunately I can’t find it any where. Anybody have a clue?! Would love to hear it more!!!

That one appears to be a Lion King Medley.
