This is just an idea I had. It's like the Great Movie Ride, but for Universal (which I kind of see a better fit for a ride like that than Disney.) Although I'm not sure where it would go, I think it would be great for Universal Studios Hollywood. Of course, seeing how both Hollywood and Orlando are filled up, it probably wouldn't go in either. This is just an idea.
Now, it would be a close rival of the Great Movie Ride. Like the former attraction, it would feature a journey through the movies with a tour narration, a finale containing clips from several movies, and a mix between audio-animatronics and live action.

Universal Studios Presents.......
An Adventure Through the Movies
An Adventure Through the Movies
Although I'm not sure what the exterior would look like, it would be designed to look like one of the grand theaters from Hollywood's Golden Age. It wouldn't be Grauman's Chinese Theater, because Disney beat Universal to that.
As guests go through the queue, they see several props from the movies. These movies come from studios such as Universal, Warner Bros., Paramount Pictures, and Columbia Pictures as well as others. Universal, however, has most of the attention since this is their attraction.
When guests enter, they will see movie trailers for the movies presented on the ride. Then, they will go under the screen and to a recreation of a Hollywood soundstage. They will then board their vehicles, which are designed to look like the ones in the GMR. A tour guide, dressed in 1930s Hollywood attire, would greet the guests before the show begins.
So the ride starts out by going through a theater, which presents the movies seen on the ride in posters. The tour guide explains how the movies are not just visual arts but a state of mind. They then announce that they won't just be seeing movies, but bringing them to life.
The first genre explored on the ride is Musicals. This starts by going through the streets of Las Vegas, as seen in Viva Las Vegas (1965). The streets of Las Vegas become modern Hollywood in a scene based off of La La Land (2016). Soon, they pass through the set of an old French building, which transitions into Paris. This features two scenes from musicals set in Paris. The barricade in 2012's Les Miserables is seen on the right, while the Phantom of the Opera and Christine are seen on the left, coming from the 2004 film.
The next scene is a war zone, with the genre being War films. This is a WWII battle, recreating a scene in Saving Private Ryan (1998). It later transitions into a desert scene based off of Lawrence of Arabia (1961).
The vehicles go from there into the Horror genre. Here, they enter an Ancient Egyptian Tomb. This is where a scene from the Mummy (1931) is shown. After that, they pass through castle Frankenstein, based off of the 1931 adaptation of Frankenstein. Here, Dr. Frankenstein is looking over his monster saying the immortal words "It's Alive!"
Leaving the castle behind, the scene becomes a showcase of Fantasy. Here, guests go through Middle Earth and see the meeting of the Fellowship as seen in Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001). The vehicles pass through there and into another scene, where they witness a battle between the forces of Sauron and the Fellowship, as seen in Return of the King (2003). The vehicles hurry by and enter a new scene.
The vehicles go through a shady part of town, where mobsters show up. One mobster holds the tour guide hostage while another takes control. This mobster takes them to the area based off of Scarface (1932), where they get in a gun fight. They later pass by a scene from the Godfather (1972) as they continue.
The next scene is a showcase of Science Fiction movies. As they pass by, E.T. is seen, holding his hand as they pass. The bike scene from the 1982 film is also shown. Also in the region are the Men in Black, based off of the 1997 film. They clear guests' memory of them as they pass by, but then they get in a skirmish with aliens but have to keep going.
They soon head into a setting based off of comedy films. They begin by passing through Chicago, where they see Ferris Bueller and his friends on a red Ferrari. As they go into an underwater cave, they see One-Eye Willie's ship from the Goonies (1985). There, they see the kids being rescued by Sloth and Chunk. They continue onward and into a treasure cave. The mobster out to grab some treasure, but a trap door opens and he/she falls in. As for the rest of the people, they go into troubled waters.
In a vast ocean area, they encounter Bruce, the shark from Jaws (1975). Luckily, before the monstrous fish can eat them up, the tour guide from earlier comes out from a dock and steers them away from the mouth of the creature.
They soon enter an area based off of action movies. In a New York City setting, the trams follow Jason Bourne as he flees from CIA assassins. Bourne causes an explosion in an apartment, which prompts the tour guide to move on to the next area before "things get too ugly."
Going through town again, they are immersed in the worlds of Holiday films. On the right, they see a scene from It's a Wonderful Life (1945). Up ahead, they see Santa Claus going through town. They also see a London area, where Ebenezer Scrooge and the Ghost of Christmas Present oversee the Holiday festivities.
This is based off of a scene from a 1970s version of the film.
Last but not least is an area based off of romance movies. Going through the English setting, they see a scene from 2005's Pride and Prejudice. They also turn the corner and see a scene from Titanic (1997), where Rose and Jack look over the doomed ship at sunset.
After this, the vehicles go to a theater, where movie clips show. Characters from the movies they had seen come from all around and take part in a finale. There is a scene where 1932's King Kong shows up and battles on the top of the Empire State Building before being taken down by airplanes. There is also a bunch of movie clips that play on the screen, starting with old movies from the early 20th Century and ending with more modern movies. The oldest of them come from 1902's A Trip to the Moon and the newest of them come from 2019's 1917. After this show, guests return to the loading area and get off of the ride.
So what do you guys think? Pretty cool, eh?we could use all of them but Titanic because of its overseas rights.
