American Teacher Awards

Whatever happened to the American Teacher Awards? I remember during the Eisner era, they were a big deal each year on The Disney Channel, but then they seem to have just disappeared.

They were ended in the early 2000s, I want to say shortly before Eisner was forcefully retired.

But given how Disney is a lightning rod for issues these days, I wouldn't be surprised if it wouldn't be used negatively if it was still around. Screams of "woke awards" and all. Its unfortunate the way teachers are treated in this country.
