AMC Theater Question

There's a separate entrance (Planet Hollywood side) that's for dine in. I don't believe you need reservations if it's not sold out, but I've actually never went through that side except on accident.

The other entrance near Splitsville works as your typical theater setup, with concessions at the front and a normal sitting area. I can't recall if you choose your seat at the time of purchase or when you walk into the theater. I usually only go to the big recliner theaters now ;)

We have an AMC dine-in theater here in Dallas. And no, you don't need to dine in to watch a movie. It will cost you a little more for your movie ticket, but you're under no obligation to eat or drink anything.

You can purchase your ticket and make seat selection in advance or just show up and do it. But realize you might not get a seat or get crummy seats if you don't purchase in advance. The seats are nice, big comfy seats that rock a bit, but not the declining ones. The theatres that are dine in have a counter in front of each row of seats.

Don't remember a separate entrance. We just walked into the front lobby, went to a kiosk to print out our tickets and then on to the assigned theatre.

We've done the dine in nearly every trip! Even if you don't want a meal, they have yummy desserts and appetizers to snack on which aren't typical movie theater food. If you plan on ordering an alcoholic beverage, you do need an ID, no matter how old you are. My 60 year old mother got carded, didn't have hers with her, and they wouldn't serve her. Just a heads up!

At the AMC dine in now. You don’t need to eat. You may want to buy advance tickets for a bigger release, but we typically walk in and buy right before the show.

For the avengers, we bought tickets that morning for opening night.
