Almost a big scare at MK (tongue in cheek)

Just got back from trip. We were at Carousel of Progress (a family favorite). During the first scene (1900 they year I think), the attraction had issues. We ended up watching the same scene 2 times. Then the announcer came on saying to stay seated, there were still problems. Now I like this attraction as much as the next person (if not more), but could you imagine sitting through the same scene over and over again like some bad Twilight Zone episode?? Luckily they fixed the issue before the 3rd replay :)

I can imagine as it has happened to me more than once. It happened in January of 2014. We watched the third scene twice. It happened again in August of 2014. That time we were evacuated after watching the second scene three times.

It could have been worse. We could have ended up watching the "future" scene three times...:cautious:

I'm toprn on which scene is the worst to watch multiple times. I'm tired of Grandma and the video game, but the oven part does add some good humor. I think the first scene (no animatronics, just the sign) would be the worst.

I really like the attraction, but the jump from 1940 to 20xx is too big. Would love to see an update jumping every 40 years instead of 20.

Agree with the restore to avoid the 1940-20xx hyperjump. Also, the repeated scenes remind us of IASW. Maybe a ride that moves guests from 1900 thru 2015 either at Tomorrowland Speedway or at Epcot Universe of Energy (already move audience)

Most of the time it is not a break down, rather a Guest has exited the theatre during the show and as a safety persuasion the theatre will not rotate. What make it worse is that once this happens, Guests dont want to watch the same scene over again so more people leave just making the situation continue.

I guess I've been lucky. Of all the times I've ridden Carousel of Progress in recent years I've never had it break down.
