Allergies at MNSSHP

We are going down for MNSSHP in October. My son is allergic to tree nuts and I read somewhere that they have special treats for trick or treating. Has anybody had experience with this? And how do I go about arranging it?

You have to go treat or treating and then on your way out, stop by guest relations and trade in your candy for the allergy free candy.

ETA: So I'd find a way to make sure when the CM's are dispensing candy at the stations to make sure he doesn't come in contact with it (gloves as part of his costume?) and/or have a plastic bag inside his container so all you have to do is pull it out at guest relations.

I assume that the candy being distributed is all factory-wrapped candy, right? So there shouldn't be any risk of coming in contact with an allergen unless you open the candy?

All Candy is wrapped- I would separate the candy as you get it, I don't remember getting any thing with nuts in it last year. I remember a lot of Reeses, Smarties, Kitkats stuff like that I think yogurt bites by Pirates . Not 100% sure if these contain nuts or not.

Reeses is peanut butter. That's derived from Peanuts and tree nuts. For some it's a major trigger. Also for some that have contact allergies just having the nut containing candies in with the non-nut containing candies causes reactions, so there's that to consider as well.

My experience has been that the fun size candy is not always labeled because the larger container that they came in was labeled. We usually end up subbing out his candy with what we brought.
