All Stars Refillable Mugs

I Know that the question of whether or not you can use the mugs on subsequent trips has been answered before, but I also know that sometimes it is easier if you have a cup with the same design that they are presently using.

A good friend is leaving Friday with some cheerleaders and staying again at All Stars Sports. I told her to take their mugs again and she could probably use them again. Anybody stayed at All-Stars recently and have a picture of the mugs they are now using? I need to let he know ASAP so she can pack them.

I don't know the anwser to your question, but when I was there in November, we used mugs from a long time ago (97 i think). When we bought those mugs way back when, we were told that the mugs would be good for unlimited refills forever (as opposed to now: unlimited for the length of your stay). When someone did comment on our mugs being the incorrect design, we just told them what we were told when we originally bought them and they said okay.

Besides, i think it's bad showmanship (especially for Disney) to even think about questioning their guests about that. They have bigger things to worry about.

You are right. The original policy was refills forever. However, that policy has changed. This also explains why Disney resorts do not enforce the "unlimited for the length of your stay" policy. I wouldn't want to argue with Fiveil at a soda fountain or anywhere else for that matter. :lol:

I was at the Music resort a few weeks ago, and used the cups from 2001. No one said a thing to us.

Was at the All Star Movies last September.

I'd say for every guest who had purchased a mug for that trip, there was another with an older mug (some even filled up with non-disney mugs!) and no one ever said a word to them.

If I stay at the All Stars next time, I will take my old mugs with me and just use those.

I HAVE A WILDERNESS LODGE MUG FROM 99 AND MAYBE I WILL TAKE IT TO ALL-STAR MOVIES WHEN I GO IN SEPTEMBER.

I have used the same mug three years in a row at the contemporary and never had a problem..

I was wondering about the mugs as well. I think we will take ours from our last trip and see what happens. Worth a try, it would save about 30 dollars unless they went up in price.

What year did they stop doing the 'unlimited refils forever' and start the 'for the length of your stay'?

I would say that as long as you use the same mug from the same resort you should have no problems using old mugs. We still use the original All Star Sports mugs and there has never been a problem.

When we stay at a new resort, we always buy a mug for that resort. When we go back and stay at that resort in the future, we always reuse the mugs and have never had a problem. I actually had a cast member at the All Star Music try to buy one of my mugs because he collected them and mine was a "first edition" that he did not have.

While you probaly can get away with using any mug at any resort, you can use any All-Star mug at any of the three food courts since it is considered one large resort with three themes.
