Hey All.!
I know sometimes throughout the year WDW has specials for the All star Resorts costing around $59 - $79/ night. What time of year does this usually happen.? Are there any other specials I can look out for.? I'm maybe planning for a late October arrival.? Thanks.
:)

Currently there is an Annual Passholder rate of 49 a night, we just booked it for next weekend. You may want to consider buying an annual for at least 1 in your party to get the room savings. But like was already posted Mousesavers will keep you up to date

They run different ads in different places around the country at various times each year. They change according to seasonal demand in the target market.

Right now in our Sunday paper, the ad reads "Value Resorts $77 - SAVE $30!!!"

Big deal, right? **YAWN** I have never even paid $77 a night let alone $107 a night!!!
But those who do not know better will bite at those prices, and that's what it's all about! When it's -2 degrees here, any price seems like a bargain to escape the cold!!! :xmas:

This summer, when fewer people from up here need the extra heat, the ads will be for $55/night. That's more in line with what they're worth!

Yeah I agree with Brer on this one. I don't think we have ever paid more than $60 a night w/taxes and all included in. We are looking now for some great rates for June. I am checking every day. We need 3 rooms for 10 days, so we are looking for the best possible deals and of course we are getting the AP's because we are planning at least one more trip possibly 2 within that 365 day ap plan!

:( budaman-- I am very sorry to tell you that I do not think you will get a really good rate in Oct. I go every year the second week of Oct. for my birthday and the crowds have been getting very heavy, where it used to be nice and slow at least. ( problem-- they close early! 7!! )

Also, this year all I could get was the AAA rate as the Fl resident rates were gone for the resorts. I also noticed on the Disney web site that instead of value season as it used to be, they have it listed as regular season :goodnevil

Then of course toward the middle/end of the month you have Mickey's Halloween party! They started it early this year-- That was one of my problems-- Keep checking though-- you never know.

Make your reservations and then if a discount comes up call back and see if they will change the rate for you!!! They should Good luck! :)

Never found this price once....

Hi .. I asked this forum for some help to find $59 at Disney but no one has helped. We leave on the 14th and will arrive in Orlando on the 15th driving,. IF anyone can help get me this price I would certainly appreciate it. I will tell you, though, that Disney must have a deal with the phone company, because they kept me on the line during day rates for over 20 minutes just to tell me that no price like this ever exists. In fact, on advice from a website, I asked for a managers special as well, and told that this has never happened in the time that this person has worked there.
after this my phone person got very rude with me, and said, if you don't have a code don't be asking for discounts. It truly seems as though, they know that there is better pricing available BUT WON"T TELL YOU ! Sorta like, yes sir there is a discount but you cant have it and I won't tell you about it. Very frustrating..

I have seen this price out there, but not for awhile. It is totally frustrating. I hear what you say about people knowing there are cheaper rates but dont give them up. There are rack rates, discount rates with certain codes, and all kinds of crap. I guess in tourist areas, crap like this always happens.

I don't know if Disney has ever offered such a low rate in October. I think that in the really slow seasons like January and early December they have a low rate, but keep checking disney.com to see what the prices are.

I have gotten a rate like that in October. I am not sure if they will continue that offer this year. That rate now seems to be for FLA residents who are also Disney Visa Cardholders.

This is the current cheapest AP rate from Mousesavers:
WDW Annual Passholders can ask for Code CUF and get special discounted rates for check-ins 2/12/04-4/17/04. Save up to 38% off Peak Season rates! A few of the rates that have been reported:

Value Resorts (All Stars and Pop Century) - $74 standard, $84 preferred

Disney's Visa cardholders can ask for Code CTV and get special room-only rates for stays 4/18/04-7/4/04. Save $30 per night at Value resorts, $55 per night at Moderate resorts, and $105 per night at Deluxe resorts. Sample rates:

Ft. Wilderness - $45 full hookup campsite, $164 cabin
Value resorts - $69 standard
Moderate resorts - $89 standard

Those seem to be the best right now. They are from Mousesavers.com

Hope you find what you are looking for.

We got that $59 price in June of 2000, that was our last trip. But I definately will tell you that you MUST know the code. They won't give it to you over the phone.

Unfortunately, codes for October just aren't out yet. The discount codes usually come out 3 months ahead of time. Check back in July or August on www.mousesavers.com. If there are codes, you will find them there. Also, check your newspaper every sunday in the travel section. Sometimes they run special promotions for certain states.
As it is, I'm still waiting on codes for June!

EDIT: I re-read your post and noticed you didn't say WHEN you were going. I thought you were the poster who mentioned October earlier. Basically, if you are going in March or April, the codes have already expired. You're out of luck this year. IF May, June, July or August, the codes are about to be released. If you're going later than that, rule of thumb is it's 3 months prior that codes come out. They usually expire towards the end of the third or fourth month covered by that code. The best idea is to just check mousesavers.com every week till you see the codes you need.
