All-Star Music Question

I am staying at the All-Star Music for a couple of nights. I've never been there (or to any of the All-Star resorts) and it gives me the ability to make a request into which building, floor, etc.

What areas are the most quiet and is it best to stay on the highest floor?

Thank you in advance for any input.

A long time ago, I stayed at AS Music with the family and we were in Country Fair building 5 which is tucked in the back of the resort. From what I remember it was quieter than the other areas and we saw several bunnies maintaining the Disney lawn when we got back from the parks after dark. Now things may have changed since then (and you never know about the Brazilians/Cheerleaders factor) but that would be by recommendation.

The only downside to that section is it's the farthest away from the lobby/buses.

We almost always stay at the All Stars and we try to get preferred rooms which are near the lobby and usually the pool as well. Being right next to the pool can be a little noisy but its not so noisy that its bothersome. The cheerleaders can make a little more noisy but even then its really not bad.

If you're not booked into a Preferred room, I'd suggest requesting a room in Jazz (which is buildings 2 and 9). They'll be the closest non-Preferred rooms to the food court and bus stops, and there isn't a pool right there so it should be quieter.

All Preferred rooms are in Calypso, buildings 1 and 10. About 1/3 of those rooms face the Calypso pool.

All family suites are split between Calypso and Jazz.

If memory serves, AS Music is located in between the two other AS resorts. Meaning that should you pick a room room at either end of the resort, you may, in fact, be closer to the neighbouring resort which gives you a second bus stop to choose from.

We prefer the Broadway buildings (#7 & 8). They are generally pretty quiet but definitely choose top floor if you can as it helps not having anyone above you. That being said, these are pretty far away from the main pool, lobby, and bus stop so if you plan to utilize these things a lot, it may not be for you. It is close to the piano pool however which we like to use.

I have generally found as far as the Calypso buildings go (the ones that flank the big guitar pool) it isn't so much the building as the side of the building you are on that make a difference in the noise level. If you can get a room on the backside of the Calypso buildings, they are relatively quiet also.
