All Star Movies

This year will be the first time we have stayed at Movies, having stayed at Sports in our previous trips.

We like to be as close to the food court/checki-i area as we can and want to make a request to do that this time. My question is, which building do we ask for? I have heard that if you call or fax 10-7 days ahead of arrival and request a certain building, you have a pretty good shot of getting what you want. Any advice form anyone and any good/bad experiences you have had there?

Thanks ahead of time!

I just went to Movies in January. I LOVED it. I would suggest you request 101 Dalmations or Fantasia. I was in the Mighty Ducks and it really is not that far either. Plus it's not so noisy.

Here's a map of the All Star Movies property.

Buildings 1, 4, 5, 8, 9, & 10 are the closest to check-in / food court.

we stayed at the AS movies and the Music .. its ok .. the girls wanted to stay at the Movies because of the Dalmations ..but they dont care to go back .. to either one now. We stayed at the Music because a friend was staying there and we wanted to be close. No real complaints at all about either one, and we would stay at any but the sports again. for value they are great

I stayed at All Star Movies just this past December. I faxed the resort 3 days before my arrival and requested the Toy Story section (DS is a HUGE Toy Story fan). We were in Toy Story, Building 9 (Room #9704, to be exact!) and I loved it. We were close to everything - the pool, the playground, the food court. We are staying at ASMo again in November. This time I am requesting the 101 Dalmatians section, since I've heard it's pretty close to everything, too. The Fantasia section is convenient to everything, but it is also considered a "preferred" view and is $10 extra per night.

Like I said, you can fax the resort a few days before you arrive and make your requests. We got everything we had requested - Toy Story section, non-smoking room, etc. You can also call the resort too, if you prefer. Our family really likes ASMo (and I like the cheap rates! :D )

I stayed at Movies in April of 2000. I would suggest Fantasia. You should wait and fax your request until 4 days before beacause the hotel will not have your reservation in their computer until then. If you do it 10 days out, you are taking a chance of them losing it. They are usually pretty good with room request. I usually put two locations I would like to pick from. I'm never disappointed and they have a hard time explaining why they couldnt meet a request when I pick two locations. If you went through a travel agent, you can ask them to note it on your reservation and follow it up with a fax.

Enjoy your vacation!!
