My family and I have stayed there in 03,05, and will be there again in Decemeber. We love it! We spend most of the days at the park so a smaller room is ok for us. All the cast members there have been very friendly and housekeeping was great as well. We are a food court kind of family since we have some picky eatters. The food court does get VERY busy from 815am till 900 or so. We try to eat earlier. The movie theme of the resort fits my family as well. I have 2 kids who play hockey so we have requested the mighty ducks wing this time. I have mentioned other resorts to them but they feel the giant disney movie icons make it seem more like Disney World to them. When the kids get to be teenagers we might have to switch to the family suites at ASMU but for now we are very happy there. 118 more days to go:wave:

It is my favorite All Star Resort. It is nice there. The only thing bad about it is the sharing of buses. All 3 All Stars have to share buses, and if I remember correctly, Movies is the last stop. Other then that, its a great value. Im sure you will enjoy it!

Does the monorail come anywhere near movies?

The ASM resort is great especially if you have young children who like Toy Story, like my son does. If I were you I would request to stay in a building close to to main lobby and bus depot. We prefer to stay in the Toy Story or Dalmation buildings b/c it's close to everything. As previous posters have said, the food court can get quite crowded. All in all the food selection is good too. And to answer your last question, the monarail does not come to the ASM. The only hotels the monarail travels to is the Contempory, Poly and Floridian. Have a great time in the World. :sohappy:

We're going in 10 days and will be setting off each morning about 8, is that peak time?
It depends on the park and when they open. Any time you are heading to/from the parks right around opening and closing (including EMHs) the buses will be FULL. Keep in mind that the AK is the closest park so those buses tend to come a bit more frequent, or at least it seemed that wasy to me at Music.

The busses do get full at closing time. It can help to linger in the park or leave a few mins. earlier. It was usually standing room only on the way back but people were very nice to let you sit if you had a sleeping child. I would love to try a deluxe resort someday but I can't justify the cost when all we do is sleep there and swim a little. Besides it's selfish I know but that's more $ I can use for shopping and activities.:slurp:

Yeah all this helps, where do you buy the refillable cups from?
Yup, they should have stacks of them around the food area. Boy, did that save us a ton of money! Especially of you have little ones that never finish their drinks. I hate overpaying for a soda and then having to dump it out. Plus the kids got a kick out of filling the cups and you have a nifty souvenir to bring home. I was using mine just the other day.
