All Star Movies: Fantasia

Hey! Me and my family are taking a trip to Walt Disney World on February 3, 2002. This is our "first time" staying in a disney resort hotel. (we normally stay at fort wilderness campground) We are staying at the all star movies resort in the fantasia section. I was wondering if this is a good section and are value resorts nice? I am a huge disney fan and I hope this doesn't lower my disney fanatic standards.

I have been going to Disney since I was a little girl and for the most part have stayed at a Disney property. I've experienced every "class" of hotel from Deluxe to Value and while you get the "best of the best" in a deluxe resort, there really is not much difference between moderate and value resorts. Although I have never stayed at the All Star Movies, I have stayed at the Sports and loved it. As a matter of fact, I'm staying at the Sports again in two weeks! Movies was booked :( As an avid Disney fanatic, I think the theming is what makes them so "Disney"!!! You and your family are guaranteed to enjoy it. As far as "Fantasia", it is the closest to Cinema Hall and Transportation which is great. You will not have to walk far to each of these. The only down side it that it might be the nosiest section. If you think this might pose a problem, you may want to request a different theme.

Hope that helps and enjoy your trip!

:D

I stayed in the Fantasia section at the All Star Movies in March. The resort itself was nice, the only real problem I had with them was the bus system. It took us an hour and a half once to get a bus. But, I hear they have somewhat improved on that. Hope you have a great stay, enjoy!!

Have stayed in All Star Movies a couple of times, most recently in the Fantasia section.

You won't be disappointed, rooms are fine, try to get a pool view, Fantasia is around the main pool.

As stated in a previous reply, there were sometimes long lines at the buses in the morning, especially on early open days. Just get there in plenty of time.

I have stayed in the almost all the park hotels, the All Star resorts are a good value.

Rent a car Beat the Crowds waiting for the bus, Park at the Contemporary, Walk to the Mk. Park at the Boardwalk, Walk to Epcot, or MGM. It will save you hours.

ALL STAR MOVIES (FANTASIA)

I have stayed there a couple of times and i am planning another stay FEB 23-MARCH1, and thru The Walt Disney Travel Co, they are now taking reservations for PERFERRED rooms, basically close to the pool and the bus stations. In staying in LOVE BUG this past Feb, it was quite but also quite a walk frm the pool and buses. But over all, it a really nice resort with a GREAT theme. By the way the perferred room will run you $10 more per night, but worth it!!

Do you mean that the All Stars are now categorizing a preferred view---I hope not. Maybe this is just another ridiculous addition from the Walt Disney Travel Co. I would and will never book another room through WDTC---go with CRO it has the best rules!

I love the All Stars. The only complaint I have is the buses. I just find it easier to drive. Dont feel like waiting after one of the shows get out. Those lines back up real farrrrrrr. :D

yea, the perferred room has to new, i called in july and they didnt offer it no me, but in calling and changing the dates that we are now going, they asked it i wanted a perferred room......

but as far as WALT DISNEY TRAVEL CO. what is such the problem, and it you have a DISNEY CLUB CARD, you have no choice, i have never had a problem with them, and has far as other offerings they might offer you, its your choice to decline or accept them....

but the all star movies resort is great and i cant wait till the new POP CULTURE RESORT opens up, its gonna be great!!!!!!!
