Booked at the Yacht Club for now end of November into December. But with 4 children (two of them 4 & under) we would like to be in the MK area. Preferably Wilderness or Contemporary. Wilderness (which we've stayed at our last 2 times there) is COMPLETELY sold out of everything. Contemporary only shows club level suites which we can't afford. I know that they have more rooms they are just holding out on because that's what hotels do. Is there anyway to get rooms there? Should I call the resort directly I'm wondering???? Thanks for any help!!!

They've been sold out for over a month. I'm there the same week. Grand Floridian still has rooms. I ended up booking there and also at AKL. Still hoping that Poly opens up.

I was there this same week last year as well, and the same thing happened. Availability was tough to find.

Last time I checked wilderness lodge had comparatively reasonable prices for a 1 bedroom at the villas.

Yeah we booked about 3 weeks ago. I've been checking every day hoping for something to open up with no luck. We would love to get something at Poly too.

Prices at Grand Floridian is still a little more than we want to pay. My parents are paying for my family and my brother's family to go and it's already going to cost over $14,000 at the yacht club (with dining and tix). We could've gotten a package at Grand Floridian for about the same price but waited too long and then it was too late :(

I had no idea how quickly these rooms booked up....I'll know next time!

Unless you're doing a standard room at Poly, which probably won't open up, the lagoon view and theme park view are about the same, if not more, as most GF room prices.

The availability is frustrating! Check back in September, people may cancel/switch resorts and rooms may open up.

Y'all will never believe this, we just snagged a Free Dining room at Grand Floridian for just $100 more total than the room we had at Yacht Club (with paid dining)! We have looked daily for free dining rooms with nothing anywhere unless you wanted to pay $12,000 for 5 nights per room. Now we just have to hope to snag 2 more and we'll all be at GF!! I guess persistence pays off sometimes....hopefully anyway. Thanks for the insight everyone.

Kinda crazy that the front desk at the resorts can't take reservations.

First of all "sold out" means "sold out" unless there are cancellations. As far as the front desk not being able to take reservations why is that crazy? Do you realize how busy the resorts are?

When I visited last year I saw several people make reservations at the front desk for that same night. They can do it at the resorts it just might take a little longer or if it's very busy then they might tell you to call the reservation line.
