If you do not know. Disney aquired the rights to build an Alien attraction I think 10-20 years ago. It was what Alien Encounter was originally until it was considered "too scary" and out of place, so Alien Encounter became what it was today and no Alien Attraction was built. But today, EMV technology allows for the perfect dark ride. It can even be more perfect than what I have here (imagine a trackless EMV, but I am not doing that).
Now, I haven't seen alien for a long time, so bare with me because I don't remember the names of anything. All I know is the name of the director because Nintendo made a game based off of Alien and named on of the bosses after the director, Ridley.
Anyway, the attraction would fit in a large Soundstage at Disney/MGM with not much outdoor theming. Once inside the attraction, guests go through a large Station and screens pic up emergencies from the ship from Alien. After a series of long walkways in small cooridoors, the guests enter the loading station. Here, guests board extra large EMVS. These ones contain 5 rows of five allowing for a higher capacity and single riders. Once the EMV sets out, the guests enter a "transport shuttle" which is basically a preshow. there are of course at least 2 rooms for this in and out so that capacity can be kept up.
In the shuttle, guests learn that they are on a rescue mission to save all who are left on the ship. But of course, nothing is mentioned about the Alien.... But of course, the self destruct has started and the vehicle has to hurry.
The shuttle soon docks and the EMV rolls out into the destoryed deck of the ship. It rolls around seeing dead people, sparks, and damage until an explosion knocks all the lights out. This is the first encounter of the Alien as a couple people run through the room (flashlight effect from AE) and are in terror. One person starts firing but yells out a muffled scream. The guests soon here some jumping and all is silent. Then, "acid" starts dripping on the guests (warm water) and the EMV shakes as if something has jumped on it. the Alien lets out a roar but just in time, several other people rush into the room and launch a gernade at it. The new people will tell you that they will catch up. The EMV shoots off into a thin corridoor. And the alien starts chasing again. This is where the main character from Alien comes out and shoots it in the head.
The alarm then warns guests that 30 seconds remain so the EMV hightales it and tells all surviving people to hurry to the dock. The EMV enters it with the surviving members (AAs) and they are too frightened to congradulate...
But the vehicle returns safe. Of course there would be an alien cliff hanger at the end like on Dinosaur and Indiana Jones but I am in a hurry and can't think of one. I really need to see Alien again.
