Has anyone ever heard the story of this old guy (I'm pretty sure his name was Alfred) who used to go to Disneyland every day and became kind of a fixture at the park? Rod, who was the piano player on Main Street for years once told me the story about him. Evidentally, Alfred went to Disneyland on opening day and kept going back again and again (had a specific spot on Main Street where he'd always sit and watch the parades). Anyway, I guess Walt took notice of the fact that he saw this guy in the park all the time and was so moved by his love for Disneyland that he gave him a lifetime pass. I understand Alfred died a few years back.
Anyway, do I have his name correct? Also, have any of you heard about him? Have any of you MET him? And do I have the story right or is it more of an urban legend?
