For example, MouseSavers.com reader Meg B succesfully used a rate code from the Alamo Hot Deals section of their web site and Wal-Mart's ID# to get additional savings on her rental. Reader Larry W was able to combine the Wal-Mart code with the pre-pay option by calling Alamo after making a reservation using the pre-pay discount.


Has anyone did the prepay option (and paid online) then called Alamo and they applied the wal mart discount? That sounds too good to be true.. that is almost a $40 discount?

I don't know the answer to your question but wanted to let you know that if you have a Costco membership (really even if you don't they have NEVER asked us for our membership card...went 2 times through them without being a member and am now a member) you can go to costco.com and get an alamo rental through there with a 20% or 25% discount and then the prepay discount or a different discount, we got an extra $25 off. I usually play around to see which is cheaper. HTH!
