Alamo Rental from Swan

We are heading to Disney at the end of June and my son really wants to go to Kennedy Space Center. So...Im thinking we will rent a car for a day and go offsite. We are staying at the Beach Club so the Alamo rental office is near by. Has anyone done this before? Did you just book when you got there or book online ahead of time? We have AAA but not sure if that would help. Any information would be great. Thanks so much

I'd suggest booking ahead of time for the best rates and car selection. You can see if AAA has discounts available, or check MouseSavers.com for other codes.

Also be aware that the desk at the Dolphin doesn't open until 8am. The Car Care Center opens at 6am with the free shuttle starting at 7am. So if you're looking to get an early start you may be hindered a little bit by waiting for the Dolphin location to open.

If you're returning it to the Dolphin after the desk closes, you can turn the car into the valet at the entrance to the lobby. (Just make sure to get a receipt for it)

Edited to add: If you do an after-hours drop-off at the Car Care Center, you're probably on your own to get transportation back to your hotel or to a park.
