Alamo Inn & Suites versus Desert Inn & Suites

We have stayed at the Desert Inn & Suites in the past as a low cost hotel within walking distance of Disneyland.

Does anyone know how it compares to the Alamo Inn? I know the Alamo Inn is cheaper but is it any good? How far away is the Alamo Inn vs. Desert Inn & Suites?

I've stayed at virtually every resort on Harbor and Katella.
The Desert Inn is fine. (as you know)
The Alamo Inn is a complete dump.

Trust me, I'm no hotel snob.
And if it's all that was available, I'd do the Alamo again...................but it's a dump.
