AK's Africa in Need of Attractions?

I believe that Disney's Animal Kingdom is, overall, deeply in need of attractions. The one that stands out the most to me, though, is Africa. It may be the most compelling area, and is very immersive, but has only one ride. It seems as if Africa should get better treatment, as it is practically the symbol of wildlife. What rides do you think should be added, and what rides do you think could/will be, if any?

Africa is a fantastically designed land, but yes it would benefit from another attraction. I was disappointed that they did not put a smallish ride in the area where FOTLK was build (and apparently one was on the table IIRC from hints from @marni1971). If they could put something like a Tarzan or Lion King ride there and have it fit into the vibe of Africa, it would be beneficial.

I also think that Asia (Jungle Book ride?) or even Discovery Island could benefit from an additional attraction. The park is wonderful, but as a whole could use a few more things to keep people occupied, especially with the planned extended hours.

They could always move the lion King environment show to Africa

Harambe theater is in Africa....I think one Lion king show is enough

I love the Africa section.

The most immersive part of AK. (I just wish I could find a time it was quiet enough to listen to all the sound recordings too).
The safari ride.
The cultural CMs who, just like at AKL, will happily talk about conservation and culture of their home countries.
The Paganini trail, which has a fascinating museum part way through. Not to mention the gorillas.
The music and dancing.

The immersiveness of Africa is the classic Disney that I love. Maybe they could put in a "fast-track" path to the safari with a viewing platform so that people who just want to do the ride can see Harambe.

Honestly if there is a "land" in DAK that is in need of another attraction its Rafikis Planet watch. whether its a ride or more animal exhibits I think anything would be beneficial for this area.

I agree with this.. I was greatly underwhelmed the time I went, and haven't been back.. If they did more with the train ride.. added more animals to the petting zoo.. etc.. it could have more impact than it does now.

Honestly Rafikis Planet Watch should become Zootopia. I know Planet Watch serves for a reason, but they could easily place the relevance of Planet Watch on around Discovery Island. The train could be changed to the Zootopia train (similar to Hogwarts express) and then lead to a massive land, away from the animals and still in the spirit of Disney's Animal Kingdom.

All lands could benefit from more attractions. However, Africa does not "need" one. I don't know if you consider FotLK part of Africa or not, but I do. Then you have KS, Gorilla Fall Trail, and the railroad to Rafiki's. If Rafiki's is another "land", so-be-it, but I think it is part of Africa. I like Rafiki's because it allows time to relax and explore a little in AC, nice restrooms. After that you have the Harambe Market Place, Tusker House, and all the street entertainment. Its also fun to have a beer/cocktail there at Dawa.

The only thing I think would be of benefit to the Harambe and entertainment area is a shade covering spanning the buildings. It does not have to be 100% shade, enough to block some of the sun and to allow those entertainers to entertain (and me to be able to watch it more because I need shade :)

I think another attraction would be great so,long as it's in keeping with the rest of the land. Something based on the attractions planned for Africa at EPCOT might work well, maybe a boast ride, either as another take on the safari or some sort of white water rafting adventure which is popular in Africa, but might be too similar to Kali rapids, or maybe some sort of 'poacher pursuit' attraction

Well, my thing is that Africa, while it is immersive, is just unfinished to me. Kilimanjaro is no doubt a phenomenal ride that could get me there on its own, but it is the only one. Maybe a fast paced ride pf sorts, or like previously stated, another take on a safari. Animal Kingdom is a great park and everything there is good, there is just not that much there.

Oh yeah a viewing for savannah animals would be benefiticial for sure.
