Just a quick 4 day trip down with my sister and her two boys at AKL. It is their first time staying here and my wife and I highly recommended it after our first stay here in May.
We arrived yesterday morning around 10 a.m. and the weather was perfect. The kids were ready to get to it after sleeping most of the ride down (from Atl)
They were ready to hit the parks but once we got to our room the excitement from seeing the animals took over. I did not think they would be as interested as they were. Our room was a Savanah View but it was in the back near some type of cage/feeding area and we thought we wouldnt see much. Boy were we wrong. We hit the jackpot with this room. Animals everywhere. We spent at least an hour watching them. It was very nice spending time with my nephews discussing the animals amd looking up info on each one. The parks can be so exciting for them that we dont always take a moment to slow down and enjoy the surroundings. The boy s looked up and said "this is our new favorite hotel" Anyone who has stayed here knows that feeling!
