AKL Construction?

My fiance and I are going on our Honeymoon and are staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge late June to early July. I've been hearing about the construction of the Villas and was just wondering if there was a concrete timeline on this. I know some people had mentioned one of the Savannahs was closed due to the work being done. Does anyone know when this is supposed to be completed?

Most of it opens on May 1 2009, but construction will be ongoing until fall 2009, but I dont have any specifics of what will be closed in June/July.

My guess is that if they are opening up in May that most of the Heavy Construction and that that would make the most noise would be done. Also I think most of the construction now is at the AKV and not at the lodge.

Construction was going on during our honeymoon in April but it didn't bother us at all. It was a little ugly but that's only in a small part which you probably wouldn't notice anyway.

My advice is to ask for a specific room or view away from the construction and you should be fine.
