AKL- a good room and a bad room

Stayed at the AKL this week and loved it! Our room was 5527, a deluxe with bunk beds and day bed. It slept our 5 comfortably. I slept on the lower bunk 3 of the nights and slept very well. ( i am 6'2, 225). The view was unbelievable. We saw elands, wilderbeasts, zebras, giraffes, ankole cattle and all types of birds.

Our friends stayed in room 5346, and it was the same inside, but the view was not good. It was on the ostrich trail, I think. It was right beside a wire fence and what looked to be a loading station. They did not see many animals. They paid for a savannah deluxe, and I would have not been happy if I were them.

Well, I am glad at least you had a great experience. In my opinion, the rooms on the Uzima Savannah are the best. You pretty much have a great view in every room, aside from the rooms directly facing the little fenced in area where they store food and other things. I had a corner room on that savannah during my last stay and we could see everything!
