Ok all, if you've ever wanted to be an Imagineer and think that you can come up with great attractions, HERE'S YOUR CHANCE! No, I can't send these to WDI, sorry. But, Animal Kingdom seems to be lacking dark rides, kiddie rides, the like. So, if you think you can handle it, COME UP WITH ATTRACTIONS! Explain them, talk about them, draw concept art, use Roller Coaster Tycoon, use Imagineering Ultimate Ride Disney Coaster, use whatever, I DON'T CARE! Let's just see what we can come up with. Remember, this is for fun. Feel free to give CONSTRUCTIVE criticism and help others. So Imagineers, on your mark, get set, GO!

Just a few quick ideas:

I loved the idea someone had of an educational boat ride through the rain forest

A boat ride like LWTL to replace or be inconjunction with conservation station with same theme

Jungle book ride in camp minnie mickey which climaxes with the destruction of the monkey temple where the car utilizes it's spinnin ability

A dark ride simular to TDS 20k but based on the search for the lockness monster

I once saw an offical ride concept i think for paris which would have been a dark ride about mythical creatures

There are so many cultures which worship animals or give them special emphasis, why can't this be used somehow?

More zoo like exhibits. AK should be the sea world of animals. Maybe something with bats...

I'll see what I can come up with later...

OOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHH, and something themed to the island of Dr Moreaou, maybe...

Hey, how about some films too. I saw a nice one on the coral reefs. Works for epcot, why not AK. The show originally designed for the equatoral africa pavillion could work too.

And with the rain forest ride, I had an interesting consept for a ride system. Starts out as a boat ride but is always connected to an inverted track which is utilized later in the ride to fly above the forest floor to simulate the harnesses used to explore the tree tops which also menas that the floor of the ride vehicle would retract to let your feet dangle

And how about a ride or show about exploration in persuit of new species of animals

and what would be good for a animatronic show?

I replied to a brother bear ride post once, but I can't find it. Essentially, I thought that if Camp Minnie Mickey was going to be permanent, then a brother bear ride would be great in that area.

Essentially it would be a water coaster with 3D technology (ie spiderman). The 3D could produce some spectacular show scenes where real trees were nearbye with screans showing 3D images of vast wilderness right behind where you couldn't tell where the 3D begins and ends. A couple show scenes that pop out in my mind would be...

1) All the bears (audio animatronics or 3D) at the swimming hole with waterfalls flowing all around you (Phil's "Family Time" song in the background).
2)The moose team providing laughs along the way as they peak their heads out from trees and rock formations.

But, my favorite idea is when your vehicle enters one of two a platforms (for higher vehicle capacity)and would raise your vehicle, rotating slowly, up through the transformation scene where you are right there among the spirits in the sky. The platform would raise you up to a point where the vehicle would be in reverse and then the coaster portion would take off into a splashdown outside. Enter back into the show building (ie splash mountain ending). This last show scene would have Koda jump onto your vehicle (like spidey does) and say goodbye. while this is happening, your vehicle is turning back around to forward again and you catch a glimpse of the brother bears going off in the distance ("on my way " music playing) and you return back to the station.

Thought of tring to come up with an original adventure for the two brothers (takimg place after the movie ends) to base the ride on, but it could be like other fantasyland rides and just tell the main story we all know??

Thoughts?
