Thats right they were trialed back in Easter 2004 as entertainment for the new Everest walkway area.

Wow, that sounds pretty creative!

I bought a postcard of the Discovery boats at the Character Warehouse in St. Augustine for 9 cents. It's surely worth it, as the attraction itself is no more.

Now I have a craving to go back to AK!

The boats don't load guests. It's like a traveling band. That's it really.

Supposedly, there are new gymnasts that are performing in the area too.

I can't see a floating band working out that well. I think it would be more interesting if the band was playing on land where people can actually get up close and enjoy the music they have to offer. It seems Disney just wants to use the boats and will do anything to get them moving.

Plus, I'm sure the CM who work at DAK will be glad that people won't be asking them where the boatride is! I remember last year when I worked with the characters at the Boat Dock, how many guests asked me if this was a boat ride! :brick: Oh well...it was at one time, I would tell them, but not anymore! I was lucky enough to have ridden on the boats when DAK first opened in 1998...can't wait to see the new boat ride!
