I don't know if this is the right board, but..I need to find a reliable towncar service from mco to POR. Does anyone have suggestions? Last year I took Mears, and boy do I want to avoid that again!!

Going in May and not renting a car. We also would like info on getting to SW and DC without renting a car.

There's the Yellow cab service and there's Tiffany Town car.

All this information can be found on wdwig.com. They have a lot of good info on getting to the resort from the airport.

My wife and I used Tiffany Towncar this past trip. They were more expensive than grabbing a Mears Motorshuttle for just the two of us but it was worth the extra $30.

It was unique feeling coming down to the baggage claim and seeing our name. They were prompt to pick us up and the cars were clean. Plus we didn't have to wait for the next bus or drop any other families off.

If there are more than 2 adults or a multiple of kids, it is actually cheaper than Mears.

Two thumbs up from the Seymoure household.

I have to agree with EnSkywalker here. We've used Tiffany the lasttwo trips (6 people) and they were great. Meet your dirver, grab the bags, and go. They include a grocery stop if you request it (ask to stop at a Publik's supermarket). Then they pick you up at the resort and take you right to departures. Money well spent if you ask me.

We always use Florida Town Car. Very reliable, and very nice drivers. Always better than using the buses.

If you need the number, i can dig it out for you.

We have always used mears, and never really had a problem, but it sounds as if there is a better way.

Does anyone know about car seats? it would be wonderful not to lug it around just to get to and from WDW.

BTW, what was so bad about mears? We always get right in and to our resort, much faster then renting a car.

I really don't have a problem with Mears. It beats renting the car and driving down, paying the tolls, etc. What I didn't care for is waiting for everyone's luggage to be stowed, stopping at the second loading station. Stopping at 1-2 hotels before ours.

With Tiffany's, it was you and your family and a driver. They were waiting on us when we got there and we were on the road before the next Mears shuttle even left.

As far as carseats, I don't know. We have no little ones so it wasn't a big concern. Check www.wdwig.com for more information. I think they have a website but am unsure of the address.

Tiffany will supply them at no charge as long as you let them know in advance.

Thank you. That is good to know. Not having to bring the car seat means I get to bring more lugage! Good news.

Mears can be good, but Pricey and incovenient. Sometimes you are lucky and are the first resort stop. Other times you are out of luck. Also with 4 people the cab is cheaper.
