Airplane Check In Heading to Disney

In March, I am flying from Washington, DC to MCO for a vacation booked through Disney. I am flying Jet Blue and have never flown with them before. My question is, don't you have to check in via a confirmation number for your flight prior to your arrival at the airport? I know with Southwest, you do it 24 hours in advance for best seating. Does Disney send me a confirmation number later on.. or..?
Thanks!

Disney will send everything you need before you go.

If you don't get it [highly unlikely, Disney's pretty reliable], most airlines will allow you to check in online using just flight number and passenger name.

And as a side note, with JetBlue (and most airlines) it's not as critical to check in 24 hours beforehand like it is with Southwest. There's really only two reasons to check in early for JetBlue: you're not checking bags and want to print out your boarding pass and head right to security, or in the case of an oversold or cancelled flight, they typically use check-in order as a fair way of determining the order in which people are involuntarily bumped or accommodated on other flights.

Since it seems like you booked your airfare through Disney (I've only ever booked airfare myself), I'm not sure how it works with assigning your seats. You were probably assigned them automatically when you booked. When you check in online or at the airport you'll be able to view and change those seat assignments, pending availability of other available seats.

You seem to be asking two questions or at least that's what I think.

First Jet Blue. When you purchased your tickets you should have selected your seats. That means you can check-in and print your boarding passes 24 hours from your flight. You can also do that via a kiosk at the airport or the skycaps, otherwise you have to wait in line. I prefer the skycap process because they handle everything at the curb.

As for Disney, as long as you signed up for the Magic express and provide your flight number they will send you special luggage tags that will direct the Orlando airport/Disney to take the luggage and deliver the resort.
