I'm going to WDW for the first time in January. My BF and I are staying from 1/11/15-1/18/15.

I know thats the day of the marathon and its also after the holiday rush.

My question is when should I buy tickets? Should I buy now before the holiday season or wait until January? Its a little tricky.

Also, whats the weather like in January? Im from Texas, so anything under 70 and I'm tempted to throw on a hoodie.

I went in Feburary a few years ago and the morning was cool, afternoon real hot and the night was cooler again, 40/50s I'd say. Although I'm from New Orleans I love cold weather so I was very happy lol.

As far as plane tix go, I wanna say buying them 54 days out is what "industry experts" say. I've heard that on tv and online different places. You may wanna check on that number but its something like that.

I agree, but...if you have specific days you need to travel (which is the case above) and or it is high season (not the case), book as early as possible. This is true for JetBlue often and Southwest almost always...cheapest rates are when they first expand the schedule. As far as the Deltas and Americans of the world, I think the 2 month +/- rule is a good one.

Right. My only concern is if buying tickets during the holiday season will effect the prices at all? Right now it would be $800 there and back and that's really expensive. I'm hoping to use my southwest card so I'm waiting to see if the prices will drop.
