Airfare app...do you use one?

In trying to figure out when to pull the pin on booking our flights I have looked at several apps that shop for you and even give advice. Has anyone had any great success with any of these tools that advise on purchasing and whether to book or hold out a little longer for lower fares.

I don't do an app but I've gone to Airfarewatchdog.com. They list the lowest fares coming out of a particular city and/or going to a city. You can enter what airport/city you want to fly to or fly out of and they will send you an email with all the fares that are published or unpublished. Right now, I have it set for lowest airfares going to Orlando...there are not many cities close to me that fly directly into Orlando.

ugh...I love Southwest but it would not let me sign up for "ding" alerts without a rapid rewards club number. Put an email into customer service and hopefully will hear back soon from them. Thanks for the idea though!
