I believe it is to the right of the MK parking lot. Someone else may be ble to confirm this. I remember last year, there was a thread on this and someone posted some pictures from space of it.

Not to worry I really don't own a plane---heck I don't even own a house. I was just curious because a saw the picture DonickCO posted under Digital Meda of the overhead shot of the property and I was trying to locate it. The air strip is still in use today isn't it? Atleast fo VIPS such as the President.

I would think so, but I've heard private planes can land there in an emergency situation, but they can't take off...the plane must be disassembled and trucked off property. go figure.

I think the reason that he meant this was, you can land a private plan their, but it can't talk off from their. Unless you have recieved a special license from Disney. If you did land their without the special license, you would have to disassemble the plane, take it a different runway, reassemble it, then take off. Ahhhh, the stuff you learn from Travel Channel Secrets.

What do they use the Air strip for????

We now call it "Stolport" and we mainly use it for bus parking... at night, you'll see a ton of outside busses parked there, waiting for their time to go in and pick up thier groups. Also, you'll see Disney busses in there. That's where we will stage sometimes for a MK exit. Park the busses there, and then call them when needed.

As for the big long air strip part... Right now it's used for Bus Training... they have a lil course set up in there. Also sometimes, there will be special events, such as a Ford Test Drive slalom course a few weeks ago. It's really not a long air strip... and while some of the markings are still there, I seriously doubt anything more than a small aircraft could land or take off there.

They also paint props there sometimes. Also, they stored some new trailer/log cabins there back in 2000 or 99.
It is also a good place to test out your rental car.

Is it also true that it you run a one-axle vehicle, like a plain, down the runway it will hum Zip-a-De-Do-Da.

That’s what I heard
