It’s hard to say with the bus ads — they have that look, but a lot of AI-generated art has that knockoff “Disney” thing happening so it’s almost like a snake eating its own tail at this point. They definitely are using AI in some of their design work these days; the posters for Oogie Boogie Bash look terrible:
Sometimes it seems that it would be better to take a frame from an old advertisement than this half-generation, which is more frightening than encouraging. When I see something so strange on billboards, I pause and switch to something more useful, so as not to think that AI will soon take over all advertising. For example, sometimes I reread articles on other topics and accidentally come across a selection of the
best productivity apps, and it is a good "grounding" after watching another strange poster. In any case, if Disney wants to continue experimenting like this, then I hope they at least adjust the style a little, because now these characters look like they woke up on the wrong side of the metaverse.
