After Hours for Summer?

Just pointing out that it wasn't a coincidence that everything was a walk-on. I get giddy when I see rainy, crappy weather, because it means that the parks will be dead. I plan for crappy weather days. My best memories of parks are going when its crappy weather and a ghost time.

We have been lucky, with all the times we have been to the parks we have only encountered a heavy rain once since 1994. That was until December 2018, we had two days during our trip with heavy rain and both days we were going to HS. I was surprised that the rain did not seem to deter people from visiting, the crowds seemed just as heavy as the one day it didn't rain when at HS. Go figure.

Yeah, it can be hit or miss. I went to MK in December when the Christmas stuff was going on -- it was pouring, and still one the most crowded I've seen any park. I assume that when families make a big deal out of booking special trips to Disney and paying a lot of money, the rain won't derail the plans.

But apparently in mid-January on a Sunday, it was rainy and overcast and all four parks were as dead as an After Hours event all day. It was the only day of 2019 that had all 1's and 2's for the final tally on Touring Plans so far.

I think that to get a dead rain day, it has to not only be raining, but also be a day of the year that isn't particularly interesting or promoted already.
