After 2pm tickets

I'm so sorry if there's a thread on this already but when I searched for "after 2" I got some wierd error message.

I'm going to a conference in Orlando in June. They are selling advanced discount tickets for WDW. One of the things they are selling is an 1 day/1 park after 2pm ticket for $39.

I've got to order these tickets early but since the June park hours are not posted, I'm not sure if I'd want an after 2pm ticket for the last day of the conference (ends at 4pm) and first day of my vacation.

I've looked at all the usual online resources but can't find any info if these are sold at the gate.

Anyone know if you can buy a late single park/single day ticket at the gate? Is so, how much is it?

TIA y'all

That doesn't sound like a good deal to me, you can get full day tickets for just a few dollars more at many places. Especially since the parks are not having late hours like normal, if you enter at 2 you are only going to get an average of 4 to 6 hours right now at most WDW parks.

That's what I thought too when i first saw it, especally since the discounted 1 day/1 park is $50

But we're only there for 3 days total. So an after 2 ticket plus a conference price on a 2-day park hopper comes to about $141. Best I can find a 3-day park hopper for is $154. So even if I had to buy a standard ticket at the gate i'm still saving a few bucks... which I will proptly spend on food somewhere in the park.

But by the time I go to the airport, pick up my friend, go to Wilderness Lodge, get checked in, and get to a park... i'm guessing it's gonna be like 6 or 7. So maybe like two hours at Epcot or MK (fingers crossed for e-ride night on june 11) it's probably not worth trying to hit that first day. Just go resort hopping instead.

Maybe I'm behind the times, but an "after 2 p.m." ticket is news to me. Doesn't sound like too much of a bargain, either, especially with your schedule. I'd go resort-hopping after checking in - or just head to Downtown Disney!:)

First thing I would like to know is if your confrence is at WDW? second is your confrence having any special events at WDW?

it could be that this is a special media brokered to meetings like yours since no one has heard of an after 2pm ticket

No and No. This is in one of the conference centers on International Blvd.

Disney's been doing this at orlando conventions and conferences for at least a year and a half. I was at another non disney related convention at the Orlando Convention center in Feb of 2002 and they were selling discounted park hoppers and 1 and 2 day after 2pm tickets at the convention. Just don't remember how much there were.

Yep, these tickets are only available through conferences/conventions, and are not available at the parks. I had a conference at Coronado Springs last April, and I got an after-2 or after-4 pass (whatever it was), plus a conference 4-day hopper. I used the late-admission pass the day I arrived, before the conference started, and stayed in the parks until 11 (it was Easter week, of all things), then used the hopper for in the evenings after the conference finished for the day. The night that I did E-Ride until almost 2am, then had meeting the next morning at 8 was a killer, but luckily it was a low-attention-required session. :D
