I leave for Disney World in 2 days. 4 of us are going and my bf's birthday is on Sunday and we had the boat ride all booked for the magic kingdom fireworks and for the boat decorated for his birthday.

Disney called yesterday to say they had to cancel my reservation and that they are only doing the boats rides on certain dates. (cutbacks I guess) Epcot boats are booked.

WHAT DO I DO NOW???? :brick:
Can anyone help me with some ideas on what to do for his birthday? I only have 2 days. My 2 other friends have never been to Disney World so they can't really help.

Any advice would be great. Thank You!

if your satying on property....call down to the resort and let them know....they can leave little cute things in the room

-What about dinner at the ESPN cafe and a night at the boarwalk including a round of mini golf???

-Or how about a night at PI...

I tihnks its going to be a great birthday either way...I mean...he's in WDW with his gf and friends....

-what about the Luau at the poly...and then sitting on the beach watching the fireworks and waterpagent???

-dinner at the Concorse Steak House...watching the fireworks....

-if nething rescedual the cruise...it won't be on his B-day....but its still going to be special....

Hope this kinda helps...

I'm sure he would get plenty of "attention" at the Hoop-De-Doo.

Make sure you get a "Today is my birthday" button.

Have the birthday noted on any PS's you make for that day.

What about carriage rides at Ft. Wilderness?

And it's true--there is no better place to spend a birthday than WDW.

(but mine is late July--no WAY am I going then.)

You can let disney dining know it's his birthday for all of your dining arrangements. They may give him something special for dessert. There is also the ice cream social and I do have the phone number of where to order a cake if you want one delivered to your room. The carriage rides are also at POR. What resort are you staying at?

Luau or the steak house sounds cool. Both things I have never done. Thanks disneydudette.

And I will definitly make him wear the pin yellow shoes. I didn't know they had that. You think you can get that at the resort?

Pam, I am staying at POR. I would be interested in the number for the cake. Also, if I decided I didn't want a cake, do you know if you can have balloons sent to the room?
For Valentines Day 2 years ago, my bf had a rose and a balloon sent to our room first thing in the morning but I don't know where he ordered that.

Thanks everyone

It was my 14 year old's birthday. We walked under the tunnel in MK, then I took a left and led everyone to Town Hall.

Told the CM that my "baby" was 14 today. She dialed the phone and handed it to him. It was Goofy singing "Happy Birthday"

Do I need to mention that he was humiliated (but secretly happy--you know how teenagers don't know what emotion they're feeling)?

We also got a button at our PS. They may be available at other parks--I just don't know. But they are definitely available at Town Hall.

I'm sure your resort will provide...especially if you tell them your story...one time we went to WDW and we stayed at Dixie Landings (now Port Orleans Riverside...grrrrrrrrr) anyways, and all- I mean ALL of our luggage was sent to hawaii...we were only left with the clothes on our backs and our carry on's (which didn't leave much)...anyways we mentioned it to our waitress at the Boathouse restaurant and at the end of the meal she told us that the meal was on mickey....need i tell you the meal was more than 120 dollars!!! so believe me im sure his birthday will be great...besides, you're already in Disney world! what could be better than that!!??:veryconfu :animwink:

you could try going to a character breakfast and have them sing to him there.

When me and my family did it for my grandmother's b-day she was so surprised. We went to The Garden Grill Restaurant, it revolves, Located in the Land, at Epcot. The waiter and Mickey Mouse stood and announced her b-day in front of the whole restaurant, it was very funny how much she blushed...we got it all on tape and she hates to watch herself blush:lol:

hope I gave you a good idea.
