Advice on WL rooms

Some advice please. We have stayed at PO Riverside on a couple of occasions and now we have decided to stay at WL.
Having never stayed there we are unsure about which room/view to ask for. Loved POR but with all the upheaval there this year decided to change. Our holidays are always in November - is there anything we need to know regarding shutdowns in and around WL. What are the restaurants and entertainment like- we have a 13year old boy whose always very active. Have we made the right decision or do we need yet another visit to our travel agent?!!

Thanks

The WL is great!!! There are 3 resturants. One is a snack bar, I like it, the food isnt bad. Then there is Artist Point. I have never really been there plus they have re-done it its a little bit fancy. THEN!!!!!! There is the Whispering Cannoyn, that place is AWESOME! The food is really realy good (go for the skillet breakfast if you can) the people are really funny. It isnt really a show but its just well.... loud. And its LOTS of fun!!! The pool is cool and there is a water slide. They have an arcade too.

Hi Sue,
The WL is a great resort. You made a wonderful choice. Be sure to go to The Whispering Canyon Cafe, great resturant, lots of food and fun there. I think Artist's Point is a bit over priced for my tastes. The pool is wonderful at WL, as is the geyser and the boat transportation to MK. For other transportation you will need to go by bus and monorail transfer.

For all the information you could possibly need see this website.

Have a wonderful trip,

Love the WL...will be there staying Aug 2nd. We like the woods view...rooms 6022-6032 have a view of Cinderella's Castle(if the trees aren't that overgrown). There is a little bog that has wildlife and is interesting to see. I have 2 girls (15 and 8). There is alot for them to do. The Roaring Forks is a great place for a quick meal, the Whispering Canyon serves a great skillet breakfast...eggs, potatoes, waffles, biscuits and gravy...all you can eat. Artist's Point is more upscale and serves exotic foods. Not really our tastes, but have heard it's great. The kids tend to hang out at the arcade and your son will fit right in. The pool has a waterslide and while I haven't braved it the line is usually long...my kids love it. Don't forget to by the refillable mugs...it will save you $$. Have fun and let us know how you make out.

I keep get conflicting messages some people say the woods view rooms are the best, others say the courtyard. Which are the quieter?

Thanks
