Advice on Touring Plan

Hello - we are not a big Universal group. That being said there are a few new rides and favorites we want to take a day away from WDW to do this year. (Including Potter). Here is our initial plan - will this work (are these line options still available at Forbidden Journey or do I have old info?)

We will not be on-site so we'll be at a disadvantage there. It will be October so that should help and it will be mid week (better on a day with closing for Halloween Horror or without? I know MK the crowd seems to be thinner during the day on MNSSHP nights)

Start -
Universal - Grigott's and get on Hogwart's Express immediately after
IoA - Go to Forbidden Journey and ride single rider - go back and do tour only line

Our other "must-do" rides are Mummy, Spiderman and a trip to Olivander's Wand Shop

We want to do this in one day? Are we nuts is this feasible?

In October you should have plenty of time to do that. I'd personally recommend not going on a HHN night since you'll probably have a significant amount of time shaved off you park visit.

Considering the low crowds in October, make sure to take some time and smell the roses, so to speak. You sound like you're trying to rush, and that definitely won't be necessary.

Is Minion Mayhem a priority?

Mayhem isn't a priority - but a "if we can" we'll ride (we are all adults and I think I'm the only one that has seen either movie). We'll steer clear of the HHN days for the extra hours. We don't want to rush and it sounds like October crowds may work to our advantage. Our concern was only having one day if we would spend all day in line. There is a number of rides we'd skip regardless - we don't do water rides or many coasters. So it sounds like we should have time to do all of Potter and Mummy/Spiderman without issue. We are considering everything else we catch a bonus.

Keep in mind that if you want to see the show at Ollivanders Wand Shop, there is only space inside for about 20 people at a time, and the line moves very slowly. Had Gringotts not been open yet, I would have said do Ollivanders then FJ, but given that Gringott's will be new, you're probably right to hit that first, then the HE, then FJ. If you don't want to see the show, you can just visit Ollivander's Wand Shop any time.

Transformers is another must. Easily one of the top attractions in the world.
