We checked in early one year and got a killer corner room, but it was a Studio. It was super having the extra window! I'd ask if they have 1 bedrooms on a corner.

I'd also ask for a room facing Bay Lake. It's not a full water view, but you can see some water through the trees, and it's a nice touch.

Really, it's such a small building, set in a nice location on both sides, that there's not a "bad" room in the place.

It's nice throughout.
But having a unit that faces Bay Lake means your balcony won't have noise coming from the Disney Speedway over near the Poly. (or the bus traffic noise from the frontage road)
It's not a big deal, but vehicle noise doesn't really fit with the Wilderness theme.

We were unlucky once and had one facing the bus stop....we did not like it at all because we love to sit on our balcony (we had a baby at the time, which meant naps....so we spend alot of time on the balcony). We have faced both the pool/courtyard area, and towards the trees in front of Bay Lake. Both are nice. Facing the forest of trees that are between the villas and the lake feels more secluded...you really feel like you are in the Wilderness. My very favorite location that we had was in one of the rooms that are right off of the WLV lobby, but facing the pool area. It was so nice to be close to the elevators (some of the rooms in the Villas are quite far from them), and I liked how you could hear the WL theme music playing from your balcony.

Another thing....if the view from your balcony is important to you, make sure to request not to be on the top floor. Just like at the main part of the hotel, the top floors have enclosed balconies and you have to stand up to see anything.

Here are a couple of pics...I wish I had thought to have taken pics of the views from all of our stays, and write down room numbers, etc...I will have to start doing that in the future.

This was our view from a top floor that had the enclosed balcony. Nice view, but like I said you could only see it while standing. But it can give you an idea of the views you get.

This was a first floor room facing the trees in front of Bay Lake.
