I don't know where to begin with this topic. Ok...I was in the college program twice, doing the same role twice. I have gone through Traditions 3 times (once at TDS twice at WDW) and training for my role twice. The last time I worked was late July 2003 as a character greeter. Now, I would have gladly have worked while I was down there in August, however I wasn't allowed to since working for the Disney Store and WDW are considered a conflict of interest. Now, due to the sale of the stores, I really want to get my seasonal status back. It's not like it's been 10 years since I worked. I have an email address for one of my managers that I really liked when I worked down there. I want to email her and ask her if it is possible.
It really will bother me if I can't get my status back due to 'rules' that weren't even my fault. I feel very hurt by the whole thing (losing my CM status at the stores as well as not being able to work at the parks due to a 'conflict of interest'. What do you think? Do you think I have a chance to get my status back if I explain what has happened to me? I have been a loyal CM for the Disney Company for five and a half years now, so I hope I don't get hurt in the end!
