hi
i am planning a visit to disney sometime next year. about 3 months ago i was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). some days i am fine but if i do to much i cause a flair up witch can be from mildly painful to completely unable to walk. i am going with just me and my kids. from anyone who has this problem, how do you deal with going threw the parks and such? i am worried i will cause myself a flair up and be stuck in the hotel and the kids will be very upset. i am actually wondering if i should go at all but i love disney and so do my kids. so is there any advice from people on how to take my kids but also not causing myself to much pain i am very new to this thanks

I would think renting one of the motorized carts at the front of the park would help a great deal. I don't know a whole lot about RA so I don't know how easily it flares up. I was recently diagnosed with Sleep Apnea and just today I posted a thread asking for advice on how to deal with a certain aspect of it and was pleasantly surprised at the number of people who not only know about my condition but suffer from it as well. I got a lot of great advice from the folks on these forums and I am sure someone else on here can give you some great advice as well. Good luck and I hope all goes well, not only with your Disney plans but in life as well.
