Advice For A Romantic Dinner

You wanna really impress her, go with Victoria and Alberts. It is truly a unique dining experience. Menus with your names on them, eating on fine china, drinking out of crystal glasses, and she'll get a rose when its all said and done.

If the price is too much (130 a plate with wine), the California Grill is great especially if you have a "late" dinner and get to watch the fireworks from your table (they dim the lights and pipe the music in from the park). Only drawbacks are its a little noisy and there may be kids. Plus youll have to ask for a window seat when you get there and youre gonna have to wait (but its really worth it believe me ). Artists Point has a much quieter ambiance and very good food as well.

I've tried to get there twice but it hasn't worked out. What's it like?
*blissful sigh*

Well, the dining room looks beautiful, with a high ceiling and honey-coloured wood everywhere (including the chairs). There is a beautiful mural on the wall of one of the vaulted ceilings. There is tons of light because of the HUUUGE windows that take up two walls of the place... And there is very nice quiet music playing that sounds a lot like the music they play in the WL lobby.

And the food... my DEAR GOD.. the food... :slurp: The portions are reasonable (i.e. small by Disney standards), but you'll still come away ridiculously stuffed. My suggestion for someone who has never been there before would be to try their set menu. You do have some choices, but the "greatest hits" are on there, including the buffalo sirloin, the salmon, the portobello mushroom soup (to die for and I'm very "meh" on mushroom soup) and... oh god... the berry cobler... *passes out* :slurp:

I tried a wine flight for the first time last year and it was great! Nice small glasses so that you could try a bit of all kinds of different wine with each new course.. and ICE WINE for dessert!! :)

(Meh, I guess I'm pretty ambivalent about the place, eh?? )

Wow! I guess this place, I-gotta-see!

Thanks for the details. I do wish you'd not feel so inhibited though. It was difficult to discern whether or not you really liked the place.

Meh, I'm kind of reserved about my opinions... Like to remain a mystery etc. etc.

my fiance and i got all dressed up and sat at an outdoor table at alfredos. if you get the dining plan, you don't have to worry about the cost. we got a nice bottle of wine and split some tiramisou. we were there about an hour and a half, because we were just taking our time with the wine and enjoying the setting. even in november it was very nice out. we also have a very nice pic of us afterwards in front of the neptune fountain. renee
