Move over, Lynda Carter.
The first image of TV's newest Wonder Woman, actress Adrianne Palicki, donning the superhero's tight-fitting red, blue and gold costume for this fall's reboot of the '70s television series were published on Entertainment Weekly's Web site Friday.
The 27-year-old star of "Friday Night Lights" and avid comic book reader was hand-picked by series executive producer David E. Kelly to don the big red (now blue) boots made famous by Carter.
"I think she looks fabulous," Carter told EOnline. "It's a new look and, jeez, her body looks fantastic."
It's a good thing those bracelets are bulletproof, however, as not all fans were as excited.
Some conservatives are complaining that the new look blue pants water down the patriotic look of the character, who traditionally has worn blue shorts with white stars inspired by the American flag.
Created in 1941 for DC Comics by psychologist Dr. William Moulton Marston in an attempt to create a role model for young girls, Wonder Woman has grown over the decades to be the most popular female superhero in comics.
NBC ordered a pilot for the prospective series, which also stars Elizabeth Hurley and Cary Elwes.

what do you think?

I like the costume on the left!!
